Sub-Recipients Are No Longer Require to Submit Quarterly Reports for LAPA/GOHSEP Grants

Published: 04-01-2024 | Category: General

In a direct effort to reduce the administrative burden to sub-recipients of FEMA Public Assistance, Hazard Mitigation Assistance and Non-Disaster grants, GOHSEP is hereby directing that effective immediately, sub-recipients are no longer required to submit quarterly reports. The requirement will move instead to an annual certification requirement. The annual certification period will open July 1st of each year and must be completed no later than September 30th of each year. This annual certification will be required for every open project/grant.

The quarterly reporting mechanism in LAPA/GOHSEP Grants will stay active for those sub-recipients who choose to continue to utilize the tool to report on project progress. Submission of this information electronically is voluntary, and you will be receiving additional information from GOHSEP soon regarding opting in or opting out.

For those sub-recipients that opt out of quarterly reporting, GOHSEP staff will be in contact via an alternate process to obtain updates to statuses of projects/activities. This is in order to ensure that proper grants management is practiced, and so that GOHSEP can continue reporting to FEMA quarterly, as required by regulation and guidance.
